I am back from NY and back to shooting, editing and blogging away! I had a great newborn session while in NY, a little time in the city (all by myself!) and a little time with a few friends before heading back to Kansas.
I was thrilled to come back and have a wonderful newborn session today for a cute little 9 day old. 🙂 I will have several sneak peeks coming up this week!
Now meet little 6 day old baby J. She was an absolute dream to work with and was my last newborn in New York before our move.
I love first birthday sessions, especially when there is a cake involved! Meet little M. He was not crazy for the cake, which happens sometimes with babies. They don’t like getting dirty, lol. The balloons were a hit though!
Meet little baby M. She was a little older than most newborns that I photograph but you would never know it! She slept like a little champ for me. Soo dreamy!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! It was steaming hot here in Kansas again but we had the chance to cool off in some friends’ pools thankfully. The kids even got to ride in a tractor on a farm. You know you are back in Kansas when your kids are riding in a huge tractor, ha ha.
I am happy to say that I am off to a good start here in Kansas City. We have only been here for 2 weeks and I am already getting bookings and had one session! Yay!

Earlier in the year I participated in a giveaway over at It’s a Premie Thing for a free session to a family of a premie. I was so happy to be able to do something for a family that had been through so much. And this family has certainly been through a lot. Meet little K who was born at 26 weeks and only weighing 1 lb 4 ozs. She had to spend 110 days in the NICU. Now at almost 9 months old she is a beautiful happy little girl!
