Meet little beautiful baby K and her big sister. This little girl did not want to sleep for me! I was able to get a couple sleeping shots, but I had to work fast! It is often a challenge to get the baby or babies to sleep for a session which is why a newborn session usually lasts up to 4 hours. And sometimes they do not want to sleep at all, lol. There is never a rush for newborns, they rule the session. 🙂

This session took place on Long Island, but I titled it Kansas City Newborn Photographer since I am trying to get my info to pop up on Google for Kansas City and Overland Park instead of Long Island now.

I am now booking sessions in the Kansas City area for August through 2012. All sessions booked now through the end of August 2011 will receive $50 off the session price! The session can take place anytime, it just needs to be booked by the end of August to qualify.

My first Kansas baby! I was lucky enough to fly into Kansas City back in April to meet this cute little man. He is the latest and greatest addition to the family.

LOVE the smile!!

Little Monkey

I am working hard at getting everything switched over to Kansas from NY. I just updated my phone number so I can order new business cards! The new number is on my facebook page. I am looking forward to becoming Overland Park and Kansas City’s latest and greatest newborn photographer. 🙂

Have a great weekend!!!

I have some BIG news to share about Swade Studios!!!

What is it????

Well……..

Swade Studios is now located in the Kansas City area, Overland Park to be exact!

I will no longer be booking sessions in the Long Island & NYC area, unless you are willing to fly me in. 🙂

So when did this all happen and why?

This move happened very quickly, a bit too quick for my taste but I am a pro mover so I could handle it, lol. We (my hubby and I) decided a couple months ago that we wanted to move back to the KC area to be close to our family again. Anyone who knows me knows how much I LOVE Long Island, but being far from our family has been hard. So we started to talk about the possibility of moving. Before I knew it he had a good job lined up in KC and the moving date had been set. Due to the field my husband is in I had to keep all this news private. This has been a very hard change for me since I had just built up my business after a lot of hard work to get to the point I was at. I have been regretfully turning down sessions for weeks now. Plus I hated to leave NY just as the summer beach season started. But I feel we have made the right decision to move. Our daughter is starting Kindergarten this year and every time we visit Kansas she tells me how she wishes she could live here. We moved a week before her 5th birthday, Happy Birthday Zoe!

I will soon be booking sessions in the Overland Park and surrounding areas, including the occasional Wichita visit! I am working on getting all my NY work wrapped up. I will be flying back next week for one last newborn and hopefully some fun in the city! I have a lot of updating and changes to do to my blog, website and etc before starting business here. I hope to be ready by the end of July.

I would like to say a huge THANK YOU to all the awesome clients I have had since just starting my business over a year ago. For all the great referrals, nice emails and comments. It was a dream come true to have a photography business of my own and I could not have done it with out all of you.

Thank you

Thank you

Thank you

Now a recent favorite that I wanted to share since I can not have a post without a photo!

Happy Friday!

Today my daughter graduated from preschool. Wow, I can not believe she will be starting Kindergarten next year! It was a beautiful ceremony. I was thrilled and honored to have the opportunity to make the class photo collage that will hang in the halls for years to come. Especially thrilled that everyone else loved how it turned out too, lol.

This time next week my family and I will be heading to Wisconsin for our yearly family vacation in the Dells, yay! 14 family members together for a week of water parks. Can’t wait!

For now I am hoping the rain stays away tomorrow for my first outdoor maternity session. It will be our last session out of a series before our newborn session next month. I’m looking forward to putting the photos together to show the belly growth!

Now to share this gorgeous little 9 month old girl! Check out those beautiful eyes and smile!

And the cute little curl on the side, love it!

Toooo cute!

June is here, yay!!! It feels like summer has finally begun here on Long Island. I love summer…the beaches, BBQs, pools, festivals and parks!!

Today I am sharing some photos from my good friend’s session, maternity and newborn. She was recently blessed with twin girls!
